Our Sustainable Portfolio

Ixora Energy’s anaerobic digestion (AD) facilities are based in the South West of England. They produce biogas through the breakdown of agricultural feedstocks including farm waste, food production by-products and sustainably grown crops. The biogas is processed to generate renewable gas and electricity.

Our renewable energy is put directly into local networks, so it avoids the reliance on imported fossil fuels.

Also, our facilities supply organic fertiliser to local farmers, reducing their need to import artificial fertilisers. This helps to mitigate recent large price rises and greatly lowers their carbon footprint.

As well as running our own plants, we work with AD sites that sit outside of our portfolio. Whether you are looking at the feasibility of an AD plant to meet your business’ Net Zero goals, or want to improve the profitability of an existing operation, our experience of running successful plants will be invaluable.

We are also committed to partnering with those who are at the forefront of AD research and innovation. Exciting initiatives that we are currently supporting include smart grids, district heating schemes, artificial intelligence for AD plants, and the untapped potential of AD to generate green hydrogen.
