We are thrilled to announce that Ixora Energy have won the Communications category at the British Renewable Energy Awards 2023. The award recognises our work to promote anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas at a national and local level.

“It was fantastic to receive the news that Ixora had won this prestigious award. As well as generating green energy, we’re committed to engaging with communities and spreading the message about AD’s benefits. To have these communications efforts celebrated at the British Renewable Energy Awards is a real achievement for the whole team.” – Darren Stockley, Managing Director

Some of the most impactful ways that we have been raising awareness of AD and educating people about green energy production include:

  • Driving innovation and fostering collaboration between businesses, universities, and local authorities.
  • Sharing our knowledge with the public, MPs and local councillors. For example, we recently welcomed the Exeter City Council Net Zero team for an informative site tour.
  • Supporting the agricultural community and amplifying the voices of farmers, to show how AD can help them reach their business goals while managing land sustainably.
  • Inviting local community groups, from Young Farmers to the Exeter Professional Engineers Club, to visit our plants so they can see AD in action.
  • Putting AD at the forefront of public consciousness with high-profile press features.

2023 is proving to be an excellent year for Ixora Energy so far, as we were also finalists in the AD Hero of the Year category at the AD & Biogas Industry Awards. Our mission is to continue championing AD and renewable energy, highlighting the sector’s potential to help the UK reach Net Zero, so it’s wonderful to be recognised for that.
