We are delighted to announce that Condate Biogas will be sponsoring the local rising star, Emma Sing, as she joins the England Red Roses squad for Autumn Internationals.
Emma is a local girl who has been playing rugby in Devon since she was six years old. She will now join 10 other uncapped players in her debut as part of the squad that contains a mix of newcomers and experienced Red Roses players.
From growing up on a farm in South Molton, North Devon, Emma has established a significant international rugby career, playing as a junior against France in 2019 and in Japan for the World Sanix Youth Tournament in May this year. Alongside her sporting achievements, Emma has a BTEC in Animal Science from Hartpury College and is currently studying veterinary science at Hartpury University. It is a privilege for us to support a local sportswoman and a member of our own wider Ixora Energy family, as her parents supply feedstock to Condate Biogas.
“Emma Sing’s been knocking on the door for a while. She’s a fast, physical player. Scott (Bemand) has watched her very closely and he’s been very impressed with her performances”, shares Red Roses coach, Simon Middleton.
“We are really excited to be sponsoring Emma during her debut in the Red Roses. It’s an honour to support a local rising star in her athletic journey”, says Darren Stockley, Managing Director at Ixora Energy.
Condate Biogas’ sponsorship will help support Emma in her journey as an athlete and to grow her local club, Gloucester-Hartpury. The sponsorship will also help Gloucester-Hartpury Rugby club continue to support young women in sport, something that we are passionate about.
The Red Roses will play twice against the New Zealand team, before facing Canada and the USA. All games will be broadcast live on BBC 2. The first match is taking place this Sunday.
