As well as providing renewable energy to South Molton in Devon from our Condate Biogas plant, we are keen to support the local community. That is why we are sponsoring the South Molton in Bloom initiative.
In previous blog posts, we have covered how South Molton is a unique town that is nearly 100% powered by renewable green gas from our Condate Biogas plant. Since opening this anaerobic digestion plant near South Molton in 2015, we have enjoyed becoming an integral part of the community.
South Molton is a historic and picturesque North Devon town, which is looking even lovelier now that the flowerbeds are installed. They add a beautiful splash of colour around the town, including outside of the local hospital.
“We share very similar values to South Molton in Bloom – environmentally conscious and focused on the well-being of the residents of the town – so we are delighted to be able to support the work they do.”
– Darren Stockley, Managing Director of Ixora Energy
“One of the most generous sponsors has been Condate Biogas. Their donation of £2000 has allowed us to do the flowerbeds in front of the hospital and put lots of lovely flowers in. […] The public are really appreciative.”
– Sue Harrison, South Molton in Bloom coordinator
October 2022 update:
We’re delighted to announce that our friends at South Molton in Bloom received a Gold Champion of Champions award at the RHS South West in Bloom competition! They were runners-up in their size category across the entire South West.
Many congratulations to Sue and the team – it’s wonderful to see their hard work and dedication recognised.
