Hosting visits at our AD plants
Curious about our anaerobic digestion facilities? We love to meet individuals and groups of all ages from the local community and beyond to share the important work that we’re doing, as well as demonstrating what’s happening in the drive towards Net Zero.
Visits from the local community give us an opportunity to spread awareness around sustainability and showcase the role of anaerobic digestion in helping to decarbonise the environment.
Perhaps you have questions like:
- How do we contribute to the local environment?
- How do we help reduce the carbon footprint of the region’s energy production?
- How do AD facilities supply green energy to local homes?
Come along for an interactive tour of our AD facilities and we’d be very happy to answer all of your questions.
We extend an ongoing open invitation to individuals and groups who are interested in touring our facilities. Simply get in touch to book a tour.
Funding and sponsorship
One of the fundamental pillars of our business is to support local communities in as many ways as we can.
A large part of that involves investing in the economy, and we use local suppliers wherever possible. In 2023, we spent over £13m on South West suppliers.
We also support local initiatives with funding and sponsorship.
We love to see individuals and communities thrive, and if we can lend a financial hand to an event, then we will.
If you’d like us to sponsor your event, initiative, or sports team, please get in touch for a friendly chat.
Environmental impact in the local area
Our work is all about decarbonising the regions we work in, contributing to the UK’s Net Zero goals. Our aim is to provide as much clean energy as possible to the local areas our sites are in – and beyond.
In fact, South Molton is almost 100% powered by renewable green gas from our Condate Biogas plant.
But it’s not just the supply of clean energy that we care about. We want to leave the environment in a better state than we found it, and that’s why we work with the local community.
We also recognise that our work simply wouldn’t be possible without agriculture. That is why it is so important to pay farmers a fair price for the feedstock crops they supply. This helps farmers to diversify their income streams and protect themselves against the inherent volatility in farming.
